IPL Schedule 2023
IPL is a T20 cricket league played by ten teams from seven Indian cities. The IPL is one of the most popular franchise cricket leagues worldwide and it is known to have huge fan following.
In the last season, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals to claim the title. Now they are the defending champions and they will play the first match of IPL 2023.
There will be seventy league matches in the 2023 IPL. The top four teams will qualify for the playoff round. Each team will play two matches against other teams in their group.
The league phase of the IPL is divided into two groups of five teams. Group A will feature teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians while Group B features teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
The IPL uses a unique scoring system to award points to teams. Each winning team gets two points while a losing team receives no points. Teams are ranked based on their performance in the previous year.
The IPL also has a special award known as a Grade A match fee. Players will be paid a sum of Rs 15 lakh for the grade A match.
Another impressive IPL related feature is the player auction. During the auction, players can sign up for up to five matches. As per the rule of thumb, teams can have a maximum of six overseas players.
The IPL also has some notable venues. Some of the best are the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

IPL 2023 Venue
IPL 2023 is the 16th season of Indian Premier League (IPL). It is a Twenty20 cricket tournament that will be held in India, from March to June. The tournament is run by the IPL Governing Council.
The IPL has 10 teams in the tournament. Teams play home and away matches. Seven of the games are played at home, while seven are away. In addition, the top four teams in the league stage qualify for the playoff round.
